Pandemic Analysis



A pandemic is an outbreak of a new diseases that affects several countries, or even continents, and a viral outbreak is defined as an epidemic if it is different from previous strains. COVID-19 started as an empidemic affecting the population in China. As it spread beyond its borders, it was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).

We have decided to perform an analysis on this current crisis that is affecting all countries worldwide. We examined the amount of cases and deaths that have been reported for every country, as well as compared the amount of cases per state within the United States. Moreover, we compared the gender demographics and death rates for people infected with this virus.
